Before your laser hair removal treatment, it is important to follow these pre-care instructions to ensure the best possible results and minimize any potential risks or side effects:

    1. Avoid sun exposure: It is recommended to avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks before your treatment. This includes tanning beds, self-tanning products, and prolonged sun exposure. Sun exposure can increase the risk of skin damage and complications during the laser treatment.

    2. Avoid waxing, plucking, or electrolysis: It is important to avoid any hair removal methods that disturb the hair follicle, such as waxing, plucking, or electrolysis, for at least four weeks before your laser treatment. The hair follicle needs to be intact for the laser to effectively target and destroy it.

    3. Shave the treatment area: It is recommended to shave the treatment area the day before your appointment. This helps ensure that the laser energy is targeted at the hair follicle rather than the surface of the skin.

    4. Cleanse the treatment area: Make sure to thoroughly cleanse the treatment area before your appointment to remove any lotions, makeup, or other products. This helps ensure that the laser can effectively target the hair follicles without interference from other substances.

    5. Avoid certain medications:
Some medications, such as photosensitizing drugs, can increase the risk of skin damage during laser treatment. It is important to inform your provider of any medications you are taking and follow their recommendations for discontinuing or adjusting your medication before treatment.

    6. Stay hydrated:
It is important to stay hydrated before your laser treatment to help your body recover and heal more quickly.

    7. Notify your tech:
If you are on your monthly cycle, please notify your tech.

    POST TREATMENT

Sunblock: Sunblock of at least 30 SPF must be worn after treatment and during the course of treatments. Remember to reapply throughout the day if outdoors.

Sun sensitivity: You will be most sun sensitive 48 to 72 hours after treatment.

No tanning: No tanning during treatments! Treatment areas must be protected with sunblock and/or clothing.

Hair shedding: Hair will begin to shed around 2 weeks post treatment. No tweezing, plucking, waxing, bleaching, or depilatories like Nair. May shave, exfoliate, or use a washcloth to help the shedding process.

Topical products: Wait 24 hours or until all irritation has resolved to reapply deodorant, makeup, and lotions. Redness may last 2 to 5 hours, up to several days. Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and swimming pools for 24 hours.

Comfort care: May use cold compress or clear Aloe-Vera gel post-treatment for comfort. May experience swelling (edema) or itching after treatment. Topical hydrocortisone cream may be used.

Antihistamines: Oral antihistamines such as Benadryl or non-drowsy Claritin may be used.

  • Important:
All tattoo removal prices reflect 1 session.
Price is per session, and most clients will require multiple sessions to reach their desired results. There is no way to determine exactly how many sessions will be needed, as each individual's skin and ink respond differently.

    Pre-Care Instructions

Before undergoing tattoo removal treatment, it is important to follow these pre-care steps to ensure the best results and minimize any potential risks:

    1. Avoid sun exposure
      · Keep the tattooed area protected from sun exposure for at least 6 weeks prior to treatment.
      · Sun exposure can increase skin sensitivity and the risk of complications.

    2. Moisturize the skin
      · Moisturize daily in the days leading up to treatment to condition the skin.
      · Do NOT apply any moisturizers or lotions on the day of treatment.

    3. Consult your healthcare provider
      · If you have any underlying medical conditions or take any medications, consult your healthcare provider before beginning treatment.
      · They can offer guidance to ensure your safety and preparation.

By following these tips and communicating any concerns beforehand, you’ll help minimize risks and improve treatment outcomes.

    Late Policy:
Appointments arriving later than the 15-minute grace period will incur an additional $10 fee.

    Post-Care Instructions

Laser tattoo removal creates a superficial skin wound. Healing responses vary, but typical experiences include:

    · Immediate whitening of the treated area (lasting several minutes).
    · Blisters, crusts, or scabs may develop within 8–72 hours and last 1–2 weeks or longer.
    · Treated areas may appear pink or pale once the scabs separate.
    · Rare side effects include scarring (hypertrophic or keloid) and temporary hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.
    · Healing usually takes 4–6 weeks, though this varies by individual.

    During the First 24 Hours

    · Use a cold compress and keep the area elevated to reduce inflammation.
    · Avoid physical activity, hot showers, and saunas.

    For the Next 1–2 Weeks

    · Avoid direct sun exposure, hot tubs, pools, and saltwater.
    · Keep the area clean and dry during healing.
    · If needed, wash with antibacterial soap and pat dry—do not rub.
    · Shaving should be avoided until the area is completely healed.

    What to Expect

    · Scabbing, blistering, light bleeding, and itching may occur.
    · You may experience erythema (redness) and edema (swelling) immediately after treatment.
    · Redness typically lasts a few hours, but may persist up to 10 days in some cases.
